He Wishes For The Cloths Of Heaven

HAD I the heavens’ embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

William Butler Yeats (1865-1939)

愿祂forgive the sins of my youth。

(No Man is an Island,  by Thomas Merton)。

Faith in time

We do not prove God’s existence. God reveals His existence by interacting with His creations. How can the created prove the existence of its Creator? Only when the world ceases to exist, then existence of God becomes meaningless, for God is love. The world comes to existence because of love.

The Axiom is God exists, then life is of purpose and meaning. Where God is the starting point. Faith is the midpoint for the relationship between God and man, that connects the creator and the created. Christ is the connecting point. So the faith in Christianity is the faith in Christ – the faith in Christ’s sacrificing love.  In Him, lays the secret of balance. Metaphorically, in Him, we find the source of our lives. When we stand firm on the midpoint, we find the highest point of human life – the source where true love flows.

Almost like the hour glass; it is where the nourishment flows. The Above is our source of inspiration. We receive abundances and under some conditions, experiences of ecstasy (fullest of true love), through time.

In Christ Alone

In Christ Alone

In Christ alone my hope is found,
He is my light, my strength, my song
This cornerstone this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm

What heights of love, what depths of peace,
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease,
My comforter, my all in all,
Here in the love of Christ I stand

In Christ alone who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save

Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live

There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious day
Up from the grave He rose again

And as He stands in Victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Brought with the precious blood of Christ

No guilt in life, no fear in death
There is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny

No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand!

Solitude

The context of solitude here is attainment of pleasure from within, than seeking it outside or in crowd. Thus “Solitude” as a word carries different meaning though which lies in its beauty.

All the things that make noise was used to be a nuisance can be fine tuning to a manageable distraction. It is a choice to love the people we come in contact with, in responding to God’s loving calling, for whomever they are and they will become. Being in Solitude meaning that we are able to leave the world as it is and let go to let God perform His miracles. Being in Solitude meaning that we can sit back and relax to immense in the pleasure of uniformity with the cosmos in a small space.

There is a state of  lesser self-gratification or less depending on gratification through outside crowd, such not of the mentality of delaying self-gratification, as this practice progress, what spurs out from it is a real contentment.

Does December Defragment You?

It is a December Blue. Dripped rains marked the first day of December. Darkness creep in before 5pm. After long hours of work, I wondered where the day has gone.

Despite the unpleasant facts, there are kindness and understanding to be cherished and remembered, and we are to offer a genuine compassion to people walking along side.

Despite the harsh winter ahead, upon the remembrance of Jesus Christ’s compassion, life seems to be brighter than it appears at 5pm in Ottawa. December in the past years had always been busy, or I would fill my holidays with full schedule at my best in every ways.

“No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier.”  – 2 Timothy 2:4

Quietly go before the Lord to get de-fragmentation from the everyday life. Grasp on the profound spiritual blessing of Christmas instead on the commercialized season.

“17 But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth. 18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” 2 Timothy 4:17-18

Paul’s letter encourages me. Courageous Christians are never really alone while we stand alone even though we don’t try to go it alone. Aloneness and fullness in the Christmas Season.

Complexity? Confusion? Conflicts? or Crisis?

A friend told me a story. I can re-tell the story here.

There were two disciples. Each disciple has his own master. They like to compare which master is better.

One said, my master has obtained high level of skills and knowledge.

One said, my master sleeps when he is tire, and eat when he is hungry.

Complexity? Confusion? Conflicts? or Crisis?

Stand In Awe of You

Father in Heaven:

I stand in awe of You when I search for significance.
What’s the significance of an insignificant life?
The answer lays in the eyes of God, You.
Look into Your gaze (stars/sky), I find my worth.  (Psalm 33:6; Psalm 8:3-9)
You are in me and I’m part of You.    (John 15:5)

Your Words have so much to offer; I delight in Your teachings.   (Psalm 119:47)
You came and show me the way, and such I will follow.    (John 14:6; Psalm 119:70))
No achievement is to keep; no failure is to remember.
No chastening of love is too hard to bear.   (Hebrew 12:6; Revelation 3:19)

You capture each laugh and tear in Heaven, and You remember.
In Your blossom, Your child will let go of the strongholds.
You are the fortress.   (Psalm 31:3)
In Your pleasure, You mold Your child with a renewed character.
You are the potter.  (Change My Heart, O God)

(Ottawa River Sunset – Inukshuk)

Who has the creativity as to what formation the cloud shall take? (Psalm 68:1, 4, 8, 33, 34)
Who has the sovereignty as to what direction the wind shall go? (Psalm 78:26; 18:10; 35:5)
I’m standing in awe of You.

………………
(Psalm 139:1, 23) "O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts."
